For more than a decade, I’ve been behind microphones and on stages—interviewing artists and cultural thinkers for Stars & Stars and Okayplayer, moderating conversations at festivals like CAAMFest, speaking at CreativeMornings Oakland, covering music festivals from Blue Note Jazz Festival to Outside Lands, emceeing galas and celebrations, and hosting everything from community radio to a 500-person wedding.
What connects all of it is an approach I’ve developed over years of interviewing and holding rooms: come deeply prepared, stay fully present, and know when to follow the conversation somewhere you didn’t expect.
